Steven P. Salsberg is the Chairman of Global Access Advisors, a strategic advisory, investor, and capital access consulting firm with offices in NYC, Washington DC, Melbourne and Tel Aviv.
He is the Vice Chairman of GROWNYC, formerly the Council on the Environment of New York City, appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
He is a member and active director of numerous boards including the American Sustainable Business Council, Board of Visitors of the CUNY School of Law, The Friends of Hudson River Park, and the Social Venture Network (SVN).
Steven is an attorney and member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey. He is a frequently sought after speaker on vertical market penetration, marketing to Generation Y, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Steven served from 2005 to 2008 as the CEO of BCD, LLC, a revenue partner of American Express, for the BuilderCard®, and related products. He is the chief strategic and creative designer of many proprietary enabling technology systems, including the web-based BuilderCard® application and the POPIE enterprise solution for purchase orders and information exchange. He created TASP, LLC in 2005, which is a certified Third Party Processor for American Express, a Microsoft Development Partner and a National Co-Seller for ATT. He is a founder of Digital Edge Technology, Inc., which built fixed income trading modules used in the secondary mortgage market. He co-founded Strategic Edge Technology in Washington DC, which built fixed income securitization applications employed by Fannie Mae. In 2000, Strategic Edge Technologies was purchased by Appix Inc.
Steven’s entrepreneurial legacy includes having founded Ecoventions responsible for numerous Green Business Summits, The Prom Company, Food Matters, Notte Wine Bar a socially responsible trend setting Green Restaurant.
Steven has been an owner, operator and designer of U.S. Small Passenger Ships. Active in a variety of organizations in the passenger vessel industry he has focused on sustainability and on security and emergency response. He is the owner of the 540 passenger, USCG-certified, Queen of Hearts which operates as a floating nightclub. The companies he founded also own the 430 passenger, USCG-certified Star of Palm Beach which is a dinner boat. Steven’s ships were the first passenger vessels in the United States to run on bio-diesel fuel (blended with NYC used restaurant oil.)
Much of Salsberg’s entrepreneurial work is social policy in action, rooted in his academic background and well-known dedication to expanding opportunities for underserved populations. Public interest values extend to every one of the Salsberg companies.
Steven currently represents and advises multinational companies focusing on Natural and Green Products, waste and energy technologies, and digital technologies.
